Pride Month is here and once again, Riot Games, the creators of League of Legends, League of Legends: Wild Rift, VALORANT, Team Fight Tactics, and Legends of Runeterra, is providing members of the LGBTQIA+ community ways to celebrate their special month in a number of colourful ways across all of its titles.

The developer announced its Pride Month celebration on Wednesday (1 June) and confirmed that all of their titles are celebrating with their own "unique content".

League of Legends will be at the forefront, where two champions, Graves and Twisted Fate, recently came out and shared their story to the community.

“Over the years, our Pride collection has only grown, with new icons, emotes, and artwork to represent more and more unique identities. We’re committed to making our games, and gaming in general, a more inclusive space for all LGBTQIA+ communities,” Riot's announcement said.

Riot is also introducing three new emotes, with one being animated, in League of Legends "alluding to love".

Emotes such as the Rainbow Poro and the Twisted Fate/Graves may be obtained either by playing a single game in a group or by accumulating enough mission points during gameplay.

To complete the second goal, the player must either acquire 40,000 gold in-game or collect the 750 points indicated in the first assignment.

They will get the animated Pride emote in exchange. Players can earn these emotes by participating in the Pride event until the end of June.

Some new Pride emotes are also available on League of Legends: Wild Rift until 20 June.

Players can get a Pride Emote Bundle by playing just one match.

They can get more prizes by playing 10 matches with a Pride Icon or a Pride homeguard trail equipped. A new Aquamarine Poro emote is also available to players.

VALORANT will also have a Pride Event from 1 June to 20 June, where Pride-themed player cards and a Gun Buddy will be given away to players.

Eight Pride-themed player cards and the gun-buddy are available at the store. Players would need to go through the store to collect these items.

Meanwhile, a new card back, guardian, emote, and an icon will be given to all players of Legends of Runeterra for free. Players can get the Pride Bundle for free from 15 June to 20 July.

Team Fight Tactics are making sure they’re part of the celebration too! TFT has a brand-new Pride Boom to let players express their pride in being LGBTQIA+ and their pride in winning every round.

This is Riot Games' fifth year hosting a Pride-themed event across its games.

Since the Rainbow Fluft Icon was introduced in 2018, the event has grown into something far larger, with free content being given to League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, Legends of Runeterra, and League of Legends: Wild Rift last year.

League of Legends also featured the love story between Leona and Diana after so many fans from the Pride community have shipped the two.

On top of that, Riot released Pride-themed merchandise to raise money for the It Gets Money Project. Similar events have not yet been announced by the company.
