Meet the VALORANT teams and rosters that will be participating in the VCT Pacific League

Riot Games, the creator of the popular first-person shooter VALORANT, revealed earlier this year that the game's esports scene will undergo substantial changes, closing out partnership deals with thirty teams to represent the finest players in Europe, Asia, Oceania, North America, and South America.

Teams from the VCT Pacific League have been busy working on their initial rosters and have recently revealed players that will be joining them.

Here are their rosters so far:

DetonatioN Gaming

DetonatioN Gaming are a Japanese organisation founded in 2012. They were the first team in LoL Japan League to make it to the Group Stage at Worlds in 2021.

DetonatioN Gaming participates in various esports leagues, including VALORANT.

DRX

One of the industry's most successful Korean esports teams and veterans, DRX have been around since 2012, when they were known as Incredible Miracle.

As the Vision Strikers, they now hold the record of 102 straight victories by their VALORANT team. Since 2010, DRX has won five VCT KR titles and placed third in the 2022 VCT Champions.

Gen G

Gen.G are a major esports company in Korea, placed top 10 on Forbes' list of the world's most valuable esports organisations for three consecutive years.

Their teams have won 7 world championships, including League of Legends. As a result, Gen.G is eager to make an impact on the VALORANT community as well.

Global Esports

Global Esports (GE), launched in 2017, now manage 12 teams worldwide in 9 different games. Among the best VALORANT Esports teams in South Asia, they've been competing regularly since the game's release and making waves on the APAC VCT circuit's big stages.

Singapore-based Paper Rex were founded in 2020, and have been going to places since then.

They’ve succeeded in VALORANT on the International stage, having placed second in VCT Masters Stage 2 in 2022 and marking Southeast Asia as a region to watch out for in the scene.

Rex Regum Qeon

Rex Regeum Qeon are an Esports organisation founded in Indonesia.

The organisation have teams in Indonesia and the Philippines, where the team’s Wild Rift Roster reached the quarterfinals at Wild Rift Icons.

RRQ now want to replicate the same success in the VALORANT esports scene.

T1

The South Korean esports powerhouse known simply as "T1" was founded in 2003, at the start of the country's StarCraft–focused esports scene.

They now run one of the world's best League of Legends teams, having won three World Championships and two Mid-Season Invitational titles, and have also ventured into the Dota 2 scene.

In VALORANT, T1 are surely looking to dominate the Pacific League and eventually the International stage as well.

Talon Esports

Talon Esports was established as a professional esports company in the Asia Pacific region in 2016.

Their main claim to fame is their Pacific Championship Series League of Legends team, though they also have a Dota 2 team that made it to the recently concluded Dota 2 The International 11 in Singapore.

Team Secret

Team Secret, founded in 2014, are an international esports organisation with players from many countries, and famous for their Dota 2 squad that placed second at this year's TI.

Their current VALORANT roster has been together since 2021, where they finished 5th-8th as the SEA representatives at VALORANT Champions 2021.

ZETA DIVISION

ZETA DIVISION, formerly known as JUPITER, entered the Esports scene in 2020, where they first built a VALORANT team.

They have become one of the most successful teams in Japan since the early days of the game, winning the Japanese Ignition Series and First Strike Japan, and placed third in VCT 2022: Stage 1 Masters.

VALORANT Esports will kick off in 2023 with the Challengers Split 1 and the VCT 2023 Kickoff Tournament in São Paulo, Brazil.
