You think you’ve seen it all with how creative the Genshin Impact community can get.

There’s the amazing fan art, intricate cosplays, song remixes, and even fan-made merchandise. But have you ever seen a human-sized paper figure of your main? You haven’t? Well, you will now!

Artist Tobyn Jacobs created a life-size paper figurine of fan-favourite Knights of Favonius Maid and 4-star Geo Claymore user Noelle, even down to all the detail on her intricate dress and armour, mimicking the pose of her splash art.

The process of making these life-sized paper figures isn’t easy.

In an interview with Yahoo Southeast Asia, Jacobs said that creating the Noelle figure, while not requiring too much planning, took him four days.

"I didn’t plan too too much, as relatively it wasn’t a project that consumed like a crazy amount of paper, at least compared to the cutouts I make," Jacobs said.

"So I kinda just did it on the fly, if I’m being honest. In terms of materials I used glossy photo paper, printed all the sheets at my house, and used glue and tape to make it all. And in total I think it took about four days, I would say," Jacobs shared.

So, why Noelle, of all the characters? As a fairly new player in Genshin Impact, Jacobs said he decided to make a life-size Noelle figure because she's a battle maid (and we totally agree, seeing how players early on lovingly gave Noelle the nickname the “True Geo Archon”, after all).

"I have her on my team, I’m fairly new to Genshin, so I got her cause she’s like the guaranteed 4-star character you get in the Novice Wishes. I mainly use Barbara and Lisa more, but ended up really liking her design, and ultimately decided that making her IRL would look sick, since she uses a giant claymore and is a battle maid," said Jacobs.

This isn’t Jacobs' first foray into making paper figures of Genshin Impact characters.

He’s also done the (almost human-scaled) Polearm Archon herself, the 4-star Pyro Polearm user Xiangling, complete with her weapon and toothy grin.

Jacobs also crafted another figure of the Shining Idol of Mondstadt, Deaconess of the Mondstadt Cathedral, and 4-star Hydro Catalyst Barbara!

But aside from just liking the characters, Jacobs said that another reason why he crafted paper figures of Noelle, Xiangling, and Barbara is that, as a content creator and artist, creating them helps his shift towards creating 3D models.

"Essentially the reason why I made Noelle and made Xiangling in general is because I thought I needed more practice making 3D models. I’m a content creator and I want to shift towards making more 3D stuff in the future as generally I think it’s more impressive," said Jacobs.

Aside from Genshin Impact, Jacobs also creates awesome giant paper art of various characters from different game franchises.

He notably finished a gigantic 40-feet tall cutout of virtual YouTuber Nanashi Mumei back in September.

Genshin Impact is currently in version 3.2, which will run until 6 December.

Genshin Impact versions 3.0, 3.1, and 3.2 will have shortened run times of five weeks instead of the usual six weeks, likely to catch up to the game's original release schedule after the release of version 2.7 was delayed back in April.
